I've been lucky to work with mentors across observatories, universities, and internships. Here are a few who have shaped my path so far — more to come as I settle into my Ph.D. at Caltech.
Dr. Charlotte Guthery

Mentored my work rebuilding the calibration setup process for a high-order deformable mirror, including porting adaptive optics calibration scripts from IDL to Python and documenting the new software.
Dr. Joshua Barnes
University of Hawai'i at Mānoa & The Institute for Astronomy · June 2023 – Present
Mentored my research on the effects of halo anisotropy in simulated mergers of disc galaxies, which grew into a paper in preparation for submission to MNRAS.
Dr. David Rubin
University of Hawai'i at Mānoa · June 2021 – May 2024
Mentored my project using machine learning to discover the first supernovae with the James Webb Space Telescope, including training a CNN to detect Type Ia supernovae.
